In some cases a dispute may arise amongst parties within the workplace regarding the severity or the cause of the injury, or perhaps a dispute of functional abilities or duration of restrictions. The requirement for a 3^rd party review is often the next step in these scenarios to ensure the right direction is being taken.

RMG’s medical services unit has the ability to conduct independent 3^rd party medical review and issue a professional opinion to those involved. This review examines the claim, injured worker, return to work plan suitability, treatment plan and restrictions.  A written report is then produced and issued to all parties involved along with recommendations regarding on-going claims management.

*It must be noted that in Ontario, no worker can be forced to attend a 3^rd party medical review and the process must be completely voluntary.
