Effective 05 Jan 2022 at 12:01 AM, Ontario will be rolling back the road map to re-opening program to a modified version of the step two of the Ontario COVID 19 restrictions.
The restrictions, including those previously announced on 26 December 2021 regarding LTC facilities now include the following:
- Indoor dinning closed,
- Outdoor dinning, takeout, drive thru and delivery are still allowed,
- Social gathering limits reduced to 5 people indoors, 10 people outdoors,
- Retail stores, malls, public libraries and personal care services limited to 50% capacity,
- Wedding, funeral and religious services reduced to 50% per room,
- Outdoor services must have 2-meter social distancing between all attendees,
- Employees must work remotely unless they are required to be on site,
- Restrictions on indoor sports, gyms, zoo’s, galleries, attractions and event spaces reinstated,
- Schools will remain closed until at least 17 Jan 2022
